Important technical basics

MTIBOC is a copier: You must place an order in your MetaTrader account (demo or live) first. Only then can it be replicated to your InteractiveBrokers account.
No reverse market data: It is technically impossible to display InteractiveBrokers market data in MetaTrader charts due to MetaTrader’s design. MetaTrader is a closed system.

The software works around this limitation by automatically capturing orders in MetaTrader and forwarding them to the IB interface (TWS/Gateway).

Technical requirements

System

Windows 10/11 or Windows Server (2016+).

Infrastructure

We recommend a Windows VPS (e.g. Contabo) for 24/7 operation.

Important note

Standard “MetaTrader VPS” offerings are not suitable, as they do not allow DLLs. MTIBOC requires DLLs for communication.

Connectivity

TWS or IB Gateway must be running. TWS restarts are detected automatically by the copier.
