SIGNAL API · NEW ORDER COPIER

Send your own trading signals to your broker accounts.

The Signal API lets any program, script or MetaTrader indicator/EA send order instructions to the New Order Copier. The copier executes them on all connected Interactive Brokers target accounts through the same routing it uses for MetaTrader and IBKR sources: symbol mapping, size factors, brackets, licence and logging apply in the same way. You don't need a source account – the signal is the source.

REFERENCE

How it works, what it accepts.

HOW IT WORKSCreate a source of type Signal API and paste the client's token into it. The client connects and sends simple JSON messages. The connectors decide which target accounts receive the signal and at what size.
COMMANDSplace: market, limit, stop or stop-limit order, optional stop loss / take profit. modify: price, stop, size, SL/TP; only the fields you send change. cancel: withdraws a resting order and closes anything already filled. close: one order or a whole symbol, fully or in part.
TIME IN FORCEOptional for the entry: GTC or DAY; IOC and FOK for market orders.
CONNECTIVITYWebSocket on the local machine (port 7788 by default), HTTP POST for webhooks, remote access over TLS only with certificate pinning (optional, off by default), and a MetaTrader 4/5 client library (SignalApi.mqh) with a demo EA.
SAFETYOnly sources you created can connect (token). Stale market entries are not executed (default 45 s). Each target account closes only what it actually holds: a target that missed the entry does not open a position on the close. Every order that is not sent and every broker refusal is recorded with its reason. The connector is the only on/off switch.
FOR WHOMTraders and developers who generate signals in their own software (Python, C#, MetaTrader indicators, alert services) and want them executed on one or many IBKR accounts without writing broker code.
