New Order Copier setup guide
From the download to the first copied order. Choose one of six ways to run the copier; the interactive guide leads you through it step by step.
Windows
- Console: you start it from the Windows Start menu; it runs while its window is open. For your trading PC, with MetaTrader on the same PC.
- Windows service: runs in the background, no login needed. For a server or VPS, around the clock. Starts manually at first, automatically once it works.
Linux
- .deb + service (recommended): Debian, Ubuntu and their derivatives; runs in the background and starts with the computer.
- .deb + console: Debian, Ubuntu and their derivatives; runs in a terminal window while it is open.
- .tar.gz + service: every other distribution with systemd; runs in the background and starts with the computer.
- .tar.gz + console: nothing is installed; runs in a terminal window, also without systemd (WSL, container).
First start
The copier prints the address of its web frontend (by default http://127.0.0.1:8743/) and a one-time setup code. Open the address in the browser, create the first user with the setup code and accept the liability exclusion; the copier starts then.
Update and uninstall
Windows: run the new setup; uninstall in Windows Settings > Apps. Linux .deb: one apt command to update, sudo apt remove to uninstall. Linux .tar.gz: unpack again (service: run install.sh again; uninstall with install.sh --uninstall).
